Turning off the lever on excavators with AdBlue system - instructions for operators
The AdBlue system is a key component of modern construction machinery, designed to reduce harmful emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) into the atmosphere. This guide will help operators understand the operation of the AdBlue system, its correct operation and how to solve the most common problems.
What is the AdBlue system? AdBlue is a 32.5% urea solution in demineralized water that is used in the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system in diesel engines. This system converts harmful nitrogen oxides into neutral nitrogen and water vapor, significantly reducing pollutant emissions. The importance of the AdBlue system Reduces environmental pollution Enables compliance with Euro IV, V and VI emission standards Allows legal use of construction equipment in emission-restricted zones Optimizes fuel consumption, often leading to better performance Proper use of the AdBlue system Refilling AdBlue Use only certified AdBlue (ISO 22241 compliant) Do not allow the AdBlue tank to run dry Avoid contaminating the tank - even the smallest impurities can damage the system Refill the tank in a clean environment, avoiding dust and dirt Recommended refilling: at a level below 25% of the tank capacity Daily checks Check the AdBlue level before starting work Pay attention to the warning lights on the dashboard Make sure the AdBlue tank cap is properly closed Check for AdBlue leaks
